Adams & Reese Corporate Services Partner Marshall Grodner will serve as a panelist on a BARBRI CLE webinar titled "Secured Lending Transactions: Identifying Property the Debtor Does Not Own, Dealing with Restrictions on Assignment," on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at 1:00 PM ET/10:00 AM PT.

The 90-minute webinar will cover key considerations in secured lending transactions, including how to identify property that a debtor does not own, how ownership and collateral issues can affect a lender’s ability to obtain and enforce a security interest, and how to address contractual or legal restrictions on assignment. The panel will also discuss practical strategies for evaluating collateral, recognizing potential limitations on a debtor’s rights in property, and navigating assignment restrictions that may arise in commercial finance transactions.

The webinar will help attendees better understand how to spot and manage issues that can affect collateral coverage and enforceability in secured lending matters. The program is designed for attorneys and other professionals involved in commercial finance, lending, and secured transactions who want to strengthen their understanding of debtor property rights, collateral diligence, and assignment-related limitations.

Grodner focuses his practice on commercial transactions, secured transactions, commercial finance, opinion letters, commercial real estate, and gaming law, with extensive experience representing lenders in large commercial transactions locally, regionally, and nationally. He will present alongside Victor Chiu, Counsel at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, and James Schulwolf, Partner at Shipman & Goodwin LLP.

This webinar is eligible in most states for 1.5 CLE credits. This webinar is presented in partnership with BARBRI.
