Dana Bird, the firm's Chief Financial Officer, and Lisa Hedrick, a Partner whose practice focuses on bankruptcy and commercial litigation, have been named to New Orleans CityBusiness’ “Women of the Year” Class of 2020. The annual awards recognize 50 women in New Orleans who are making their mark on the business community and through service to others.
Dana and Lisa are the latest honorees among numerous Adams and Reese attorneys and staff who have received the award in previous years, continuing a tradition of excellence among the firm’s women in the business world and in the community.
As the firm's Chief Financial Officer, Dana brings outstanding leadership qualities and a bright financial mind to the business side of Adams and Reese. After being promoted to the role in early 2020, Dana has taken on major projects and initiatives that ensure efficiency, improved client experience, and the continued financial success of the firm. Dana is an active participant in the firm's HUGS program and an outstanding team member who is highly involved in the firm's strategic planning process.
Lisa is recognized for excellence in the areas of bankruptcy law and commercial litigation. A leader in the field and the author of successful books on the topic of her practice, bankruptcy law, Lisa has helped businesses of various sizes through tough times and helps them come up with a plan that gives them a path forward. She is also recognized for her drive and enthusiasm for serving others through pro bono work and dedication to causes such as the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and breast cancer awareness and research.
Both women will be recognized among the 50 “Women of the Year” honorees at a luncheon Monday, November 9 at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans, when an overall Woman of the Year will be announced. A special insert spotlighting all “Women of the Year” honorees will run in the November 20 issue of CityBusiness.
