Adams and Reese Litigation Practice Group Leader and New Orleans Partner Johnny Domiano received the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce Chairman’s Award, presented to the board member of the year.
Domiano serves on the chamber’s executive committee and is a former board chair of the business advocacy organization. Adams and Reese has been a longtime member of the Jefferson Chamber, which started in 1997 and now represents more than 900 companies throughout Jefferson Parish and the Greater New Orleans area.
At Adams and Reese, Domiano has more than two decades of experience before state and federal courts, administrative and governmental bodies, representing clients in complex commercial and casualty litigation involving disputes with significant risks and damages. Domiano’s clients mostly deal with marine and energy issues, products liability, directors’ and officers’ liability, franchise and shareholder disputes, and general casualty. He also defends clients against personal injury, death, pollution and property damage claims.
On the transactions side, Domiano drafts, negotiates and litigates master service agreements, operating agreements, purchase agreements and commercial contracts. He also helps clients create and implement economic development projects from inception and construction to completion. Domiano serves several clients in the position of outside general counsel, in effect joining their business team. Such roles produce a very diverse spectrum of work on both the transactional and litigation side.
In his capacity of serving on and chairing several boards within the New Orleans community, Domiano advises nonprofit organizations and other groups on political, governmental, and contractual issues.
