Adams and Reese is pleased to announce Laurie Young has been named to New Orleans CityBusiness’ “Women of the Year” Class of 2018 and Hall of Fame. The annual awards recognize 50 top businesswomen in New Orleans who are making notable contributions to both the local business community and society at large.

As a three-time honoree in CityBusiness’ “Women of the Year,” Young will be inducted into the award’s Hall of Fame. She was previously honored in 2016 and 2012. Young represents the latest honoree among numerous Adams and Reese attorneys and staff who have received the award in previous years, continuing a tradition of excellence among the firm’s women in the business world and in the community.

Young is a partner in the firm’s New Orleans office, where she focuses her litigation practice on representing clients in maritime, labor and employment, hospitality and general litigation matters. She advocates for clients in both state and federal courts and before administrative law judges. Young has made outstanding pro bono contributions to New Orleans area juvenile courts and also raises funds for nonprofit groups that serve youth in the area.

She received her J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 1991 and her B.B.A. from the University of Miami in 1983.

Young will be recognized among the 50 “Women of the Year” honorees at a noon luncheon Friday, November 2 at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans. A special insert spotlighting all “Women of the Year” honorees will run in the November 9 issue of CityBusiness.
