Accomplished Transactional Attorney Joseph Bohling Joins Adams & Reese

Adams & Reese has expanded its Corporate Services Practice Group with the addition of Joseph Bohling, a seasoned transactional attorney who joins the firm's Denver office as Counsel. Bohling advises publicly traded companies, private equity and venture capital-backed businesses, and closely held enterprises on strategies that drive growth and protect value.

Bohling primarily focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, complex contract negotiation, leasing, and commercial advisory work across a range of industries, including automotive OEMs, industrial and heavy-equipment manufacturing, professional services, and healthcare. He has served as global general counsel for startup and private equity-backed high-tech organizations and has guided venture capital firms in structuring early-stage impact investments and regulatory matters. He also brings broad cross-border experience spanning Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, where he has advised on M&A transactions, business formation, capital deployment, and global expansion.

Bohling has served as a key legal advisor and business strategist on large-scale, multi-jurisdictional, cross-border transactions for a major Fortune 500 heavy-equipment manufacturer. He has also provided legal strategy for automotive manufacturers pursuing multi-billion-dollar capital expansion programs and led the legal strategy and due diligence for the sale of a significant auto lending portfolio.

He also founded and currently serves as Chairman of NIL Guides, an organization empowering athletes and institutions to build competitive programs in the evolving NIL and revenue-sharing landscape. His work in the NIL space has included helping high school, state, and collegiate athletes and athletic organizations navigate a dynamic ecosystem involving generative AI, contract negotiation, business formation, tax and wealth planning, performance development, compliance, and family-office infrastructure.

Licensed to practice in Colorado, Bohling is an active member of both the Colorado Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He earned his J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School and his B.A. from Colorado State University. He also served on the board of directors of the CSU Alumni Association, including as president and past president from 2008 to 2017.
