Adams & Reese Construction Practice Adds Litigation-Focused Counsel in Houston
Published: Jul 7, 2026
Adams & Reese announces the addition of Christos "Chris" Papadopoulos as Counsel in the firm's Construction Practice Group in Houston.
Papadopoulos represents clients in complex disputes, drawing on a litigation background that includes casualty and insurance defense, premises liability, property damage, trucking fatalities, wrongful death, dram shop, UM/UIM, subrogation, commercial litigation, appellate matters, and excess coverage monitoring. He brings clients practical insight and a results-oriented approach, helping them assess risk, prepare for litigation, pursue efficient resolutions, and go to trial in high-stakes disputes.
Papadopoulos delivers results at every stage of litigation. He has secured substantial defense verdicts at trial, argued before the Fourteenth Court of Appeals of Texas, and shepherded a $50 million matter through all phases of pretrial preparation. He often negotiates settlements below authority and has successfully challenged opposing experts across disciplines, including life care planning, neurology, orthopedics, biomechanical engineering, cause and origin, propane engineering, pathology, financial planning, and accident reconstruction.
“We are thrilled to welcome Chris to our Construction Practice Group in Houston,” said David Toney, Partner and Construction Team Leader at Adams & Reese. “His extensive litigation experience, strategic mindset, and dedication to achieving results for clients make him an outstanding addition to our team. Chris's ability to navigate complex disputes with both courtroom readiness and practical business insight aligns perfectly with the values of our practice, and we look forward to the contributions he will bring to our clients and our firm.”
Papadopoulos is licensed to practice law in Texas and New York and is admitted to the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Western, and Southern Districts of Texas. He is fluent in both English and Greek and is a certified mediator. He earned his J.D. from South Texas College of Law Houston, where he graduated in the top 15% of his class while attending law school at night after work, received multiple academic and advocacy honors, and participated in the Mock Trial Team and ADR Team. He also earned his B.A. from Deree, the American College of Greece.
“All successful trials began with excellence in litigation. Every case deserves a strategy that is built from the ground up with the courtroom and Jury in mind, and that philosophy has guided my practice throughout my career,” said Chris Papadopoulos. “As Counsel in the Construction Practice Group at Adams & Reese, I look forward to working with a team that shares that commitment to excellence. I am excited to continue delivering real results for my clients while building lasting relationships grounded in trust, accountability, and solid foundations.”
Beyond the courtroom, Papadopoulos is shaping the next generation of legal talent. As a Legal Writing Instructor for the South Texas College of Law Houston bar examination program, he coaches aspiring attorneys through the rigors of legal writing and analysis while spearheading initiatives to boost bar passage rates. He also remains deeply rooted in the Houston legal community, serving as a member of the Fort Bend County Bar Association and the Houston Young Lawyers Association, and as Treasurer of the AHEPA 29 Charitable Foundation.
