Adams & Reese attorney Danielle Douglas participated in the 2025 Next Generation (“NextGen”) program at the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges’ (NCBJ) Annual Meeting on Sept. 17-20 in Chicago. A financial services attorney in the Adams & Reese Birmingham office, Douglas was one of just 40 up-and-coming bankruptcy practitioners that participated in this prestigious program.

NextGen participants include bankruptcy attorneys of: (i) ten or fewer years in practice; (ii) a practice that centers on bankruptcy law: and (iii) a demonstrated commitment to the highest standards of civility, ethics, and professionalism. At the NCBJ Annual Meeting, NextGen participants experienced an exclusive judicial roundtable program, as well as networking opportunities and social events with their 2025 classmates and NextGen alumni.

The NCBJ, celebrating 100 years in 2026, promotes the interests of U.S. Bankruptcy Judges; improves the administration of the bankruptcy system; fosters scholarship, collegiality, and diversity among members of the bankruptcy bench and bar; and provides opportunities for education and networking for bankruptcy judges and the bankruptcy community at large.

At Adams & Reese, Douglas represents companies of all sizes in financial services litigation and general commercial litigation, with experience assisting with commercial restructuring and bankruptcy issues, lender liability issues, business torts, contract disputes, fraud, insurance disputes, and issues arising from the intersection of business and government.

Douglas is a graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law (J.D., 2018) and the University of Alabama (B.S., 2015).
