The Adams & Reese family is deeply saddened to share that our colleague and friend, Allyce Trapp Alexander, Government Relations Advisor in our Baton Rouge office, passed away on September 27, 2025 after a nearly year-and-a-half-long battle with angiosarcoma.

Allyce joined Adams & Reese to pursue what she called her dream job: serving the people and institutions of Louisiana through government relations.  She quickly became a trusted and beloved presence at the Capitol, known for her professionalism, preparation, and warmth.  With an easy smile and genuine kindness, she built strong relationships across the legislature and with clients, earning the respect of all who worked with her.

A proud two-time graduate of LSU’s Manship School of Mass Communication, Allyce also studied abroad in Germany and was active in campus life, including Chi Omega and student government.  Her passion for public policy was ignited at LSU when she addressed the Louisiana State Capitol to raise awareness about dyslexia — a cause she championed with the same determination and grace that defined her work and life.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Allyce brought joy and light to every room.  She was an avid reader and student of history, a natural conversationalist, and a thoughtful friend who delighted in celebrating others.  Her energy, elegance, and trademark humor endeared her to colleagues, clients, and the broader Capitol community.

Allyce was born in Houma, Louisiana, and graduated from Vandebilt Catholic High School.  A devout Catholic, she drew strength from her faith and from the love of her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Wilson Alexander; her parents, Heinke and Susan Trapp; her brother, John Trapp; her maternal grandmother, Ann Lirette; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.  She is preceded in death by her grandparents Nolan Lirette Sr., Heinke Trapp Sr., and Audrey Trapp.

Allyce’s time with us was short, but her impact on our firm, our clients, and our community is lasting.  She was smart, gracious, and relentlessly thoughtful — a colleague who made us better and a friend we will always remember with gratitude.

She will be greatly missed, especially by her Adams & Reese family.
