Jackson Partner Elizabeth Lee Maron Featured in New Series: "Legal Families of Mississippi"

Close-Up Of Modern Office Building

In the Capital Area Bar Association (CABA) April newsletter, Adams & Reese Jackson Partner Elizabeth Lee Maron is featured in the inaugural installment of the "Legal Families of Mississippi" series. The new series highlights families of attorneys with deep ties to the state of Mississippi, and Elizabeth's family was chosen to be spotlighted, given their remarkable legal legacy rooted in Scott County spanning four generations.

The Lee family's legal service began with its patriarch, Percy Mercer Lee, and continued through four of his children, who also became attorneys, including the Honorable Roy Noble Lee, who served as Chief Justice of the Mississippi Supreme Court, and the Honorable Tom Stewart Lee, a United States District Court Judge who has served on the federal bench for over four decades. The family's commitment to the law, public service, and the Mississippi community has been a hallmark of each generation.

Elizabeth carries on this proud family tradition as the daughter of Judge Tom Lee. At Adams & Reese, her practice area focuses on education and employment law. She has been recognized as a Best Lawyer in America for over ten years and co-chairs the firm-wide ARROW initiative, with a focus on attorney mentorship and professional development. Her husband, David F. Maron, is also an attorney and currently serves as General Counsel for Community Bank, and together they are active in a wide range of legal and community organizations.

Adams & Reese extends its congratulations to the entire Lee family on this well-deserved legal series spotlight. The firm is honored to have Elizabeth, an attorney of such caliber and legal heritage, as part of our team and looks forward to her continued service and leadership on behalf of our clients, the firm, the legal profession, and the Mississippi community.
