Adams & Reese Partner Marshall Grodner has been appointed as the Reporter of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) Committee of the Louisiana State Law Institute (LSLI).
In this prestigious role, Grodner will be responsible for drafting any proposed changes to the UCC in Louisiana, a significant honor and responsibility that reflects his deep expertise in commercial law and his longstanding dedication to the development of Louisiana's legal framework.
“We are excited for Marshall on this well-deserved appointment," said Hunter Schoen, Baton Rouge Partner in Charge at Adams & Reese. "He has earned the respect of his peers in the legal community, and this selection is the fruit of his commitment to advancing commercial law in our state.”
The Louisiana State Law Institute is the forerunner of the American Law Institute and plays a vital role in protecting the Louisiana Civil Code and the state's civil law regime by proposing legislation. Notably, the LSLI is the only entity that can officially supply comments to legislation in Louisiana, making its work essential to the integrity and evolution of the state's legal system. Grodner has been an active contributor to the LSLI and its committees, bringing years of practical experience to the important work of shaping Louisiana's commercial legislation.
A member of the Corporate Services Practice Group in Adams & Reese’s Baton Rouge office, Grodner’s practice primarily focuses on commercial transactions, banking, and real estate law. He is a recognized thought leader, author, and speaker in real estate and finance, frequently presenting at industry events and contributing to national publications and professional journals.
