Pipeline Programs and Partnerships
At Adams and Reese, we know that having varied perspectives help generate better ideas to solve the complex problems of a changing – and increasingly diverse world.

Adams and Reese 1L Minority Fellowship Program
On Martin Luther King, Jr. Day 2021, we officially launched the Adams and Reese 1L Minority Fellowship Program, an independent and firm-driven effort that demonstrates our commitment to improving our pipeline of diverse lawyers. Through this program, the firm awards Summer Associate positions to two first-year (1L) law students. These two individuals receive paid clerkship positions within our Summer Associate programs, which is normally reserved for only 2L students. In addition to the paid Summer Associate position, successful fellows also receive a $5,000 stipend to help offset the costs of their legal education at the conclusion of the program, and are invited to return to the firm as Summer Associates following their 2L year.

NALP/Street Law Legal Diversity Pipeline Program
Street Law logoIn 2021, Adams and Reese joined with the National Association for Law Placement, and launched a Street Law program through our Mobile office. Recognizing the need for earlier education about careers in the legal profession to create a true pipeline for diverse lawyers, the goal of this program is to teach high school students about the law and legal careers, encourage them to pursue legal careers, and offer support in this pursuit. Attorneys from our Mobile office partnered with LeFlore Magnet High School throughout the school year, and are already anxiously planning our next iteration of the program. In 2022 we will continue the Street Law Program in Mobile, and will expand the program with a partnership with a high school in New Orleans. Learn more about Street Law.
