Overview
Drew English focuses his practice on commercial real estate acquisition and development. He is engaged in all phases of his clients’ projects, including property acquisition, leasing, permitting and entitlements, development agreements, permanent loan facilities and refinancings, and dispositions of operating centers.
Drew represents lenders in acquisition and development financing, refinancings of existing loan facilities, and workouts of nonperforming loans. He also maintains a corporate practice, negotiating and drafting joint venture agreements, operating agreements and shareholder agreements for limited liability companies and corporations. Prior to focusing his practice on transactions, Drew litigated real estate matters and title insurance claims, representing clients in trial and appellate courts throughout South Carolina.
Best Lawyers in America® has recognized Drew since 2015 in Commercial Transactions/UCC Law, Corporate Law, and Real Estate Law. He has been ranked by clients and peers among the “Legal Elite of the Midlands” and received an AV Preeminent Rating by Martindale-Hubbell.
