Andrew C. English III

Drew English is a seasoned commercial real estate attorney who focuses his practice on all aspects of commercial real estate acquisition and development. He guides clients through every phase of complex real estate transactions, from negotiating purchase agreements and coordinating diligence through property acquisition and negotiating development agreements with private landowners, end users, and other stakeholders as well as municipalities and other governmental authorities. Drew structures acquisition and development financing, including acquisition and construction loans, securitized and mezzanine financing, and permanent loan facilities. He also assists clients with ground leases, retail leases, refinancings, property dispositions, and the sale of operating assets, ensuring seamless transitions at every stage of the investment cycle.

Additionally, Drew represents lenders in acquisition and development financing, refinancings of existing loan facilities, and workouts of nonperforming loans. He also maintains a corporate practice, negotiating and drafting joint venture agreements, operating agreements, and shareholder agreements for limited liability companies and corporations. Prior to focusing his practice on transactions, Drew litigated real estate matters and title insurance claims, representing clients in trial and appellate courts throughout South Carolina.
