Overview

Brantley Rhodes is a member of the Adams & Reese Litigation Practice Group and an Associate in the Mobile, Alabama office. Brantley is a litigator advising and defending clients in a wide range of disputes and industries. She represents individuals, corporations, and governmental entities in construction litigation, transportation, maritime disputes, and defense of products liability and premises liability cases in jury and non-jury trials throughout Alabama.

Throughout Brantley’s summer associate and clerkship roles for various law firms, including Adams & Reese, she gained valuable experience in many areas of litigation. She drafted research-based memoranda regarding federal regulation of navigable waterways, employment retaliation, premises and products liability, housing incentive programs, property foreclosures, trucking accidents, insurance policy issues, maritime accidents, and medical malpractice. She also produced litigation hold letters and subpoenas, motions for summary judgment and accompanying briefs, oppositions to motions in limine for medical malpractice cases, complaints, initial discovery requests, and demand letters for multiple cases. In addition, Brantley conducted extensive research on technological engineering for a class action lawsuit. 

Given Brantley’s interest in athletics, she served as a legal extern for University of Alabama Athletics Compliance, where she interpreted new and pending NCAA bylaws to ensure teams’ compliance; produced transfer and eligibility waivers for incoming and current student-athletes; and compiled, reviewed, and analyzed student-athlete brand deals for UA’s NIL program.

At University of Alabama School of Law, Brantley served as both Associate Editor and Articles Editor for the Alabama Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Law Review.

In addition to graduating summa cum laude at High Point University, Brantley played Division I Women’s Volleyball. She gained valuable teamwork and leadership experience as she led the team to two conference championships and two NCAA tournament appearances.
