Christopher W. Earle

Christopher is an Associate with the Litigation Practice Group in Adams & Reese’s Jacksonville office. He serves a diverse and distinguished client base, including manufacturers, liability insurers, insurance brokers, retailers, charities, construction companies, and banks.

Chris earned his stripes as a litigator while serving as a public defender in Tallahassee. There, he obtained jury acquittals for clients in both County Court and Circuit Court on criminal charges ranging from petty misdemeanors to felonies punishable by life in prison.

After transitioning to private practice, Christopher worked for a national creditors’ rights and real estate law firm, and a medical malpractice-focused insurance defense firm, before finding a home with Adams & Reese. Chris’s achievements outside of trial include successfully arguing judicial overturn of a Florida statute on First Amendment grounds that attempted to regulate obstruction of public roadways. Additionally, he obtained summary judgment in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida on behalf of a national funeral products provider. 

Chris earned his J.D. from William & Mary Law School, where he received a full merit scholarship. While studying law in Williamsburg, he worked full-time as a Graduate Fellow for the Wolf Law Library’s Technical Services & Special Collections Research Center. He earned selection as an Honors Scholar for the Center of the Study of Law and Markets, competed across the country for the law school’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Team, and was elected President of the Student Environmental and Animal Law Society.

Before starting his legal career, Christopher taught A.P. U.S. History in Tampa at a public high school and completed an Executive Stores Internship with Target Corporation. Christopher graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Wake Forest University, earning a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Economics. During undergrad and in law school, Chris demonstrated his entrepreneurial spirit by driving for Uber and launching a student airport transportation service.

Chris maintains a reading blog on GoodReads and hopes to publish a novel someday. His law school note, “Survey Says…? An Argument for More Frontloaded FERC Public Use Provider Determinations as a Means of Streamlining the Commission’s Regulatory Role Over Interstate Natural Gas Pipeline Operators” was published by William & Mary’s Environmental Law and Policy Review Journal and has been cited in environmental and public interest periodicals.
