Overview
Jaime Payne-Holt is an Associate and member of the Financial Services Practice Group. A litigator focused primarily on financial services, she takes a results-driven approach to every matter, advising clients on effective strategies while carefully balancing legal risks with business objectives.
Jaime represents businesses, banks, and other financial institutions in litigation matters, fiduciary disputes, legal process compliance, deceased-customer operations, government investigations, and more. She represents financial institutions as neutral stakeholders in state and federal courts and in responding to grand jury subpoenas. When necessary, she also represents their employees in witness interviews and in response to subpoenas to testify.
Jaime's experience spans complex commercial disputes, product liability defense, breach-of-contract claims, and premises-liability matters across multiple jurisdictions. She has drafted dispositive motions, defended and conducted depositions, prepared witnesses for trial, and represented clients in mediations, consistently delivering practical, cost-conscious results. Clients benefit from her ability to navigate complex, multi-party disputes while maintaining a focus on effective, business-oriented strategies and solutions.
Jaime is also a recognized thought leader in data privacy compliance, having served as faculty for the National Law Review and Financial Poise's Corporate & Regulatory Compliance Boot Camp. She has presented on corporate data privacy best practices, cybersecurity policy development, and data breach response, equipping clients with practical compliance strategies. She has also been recognized by Bloomberg Law for her authoritative commentary on personal jurisdiction in multi-state product liability disputes.
An active leader in the Houston legal community, Jaime was selected for the Houston Young Lawyers Association Leadership Academy and has served on the Houston Bar Association's Advanced Belonging & Cultures Committee. She earned her Juris Doctor magna cum laude from Mississippi College School of Law, where she ranked 13th in her class, served as President of the Law Student Bar Association, and was Executive Editor of Law Review.
