Overview
Lindsey Hahn is a member of the Adams & Reese Litigation Practice Group, and the Bradenton, Florida native is an attorney in the firm’s Sarasota office.
Lindsey gained courtroom experience early in her career through her position as a Florida Assistant State Attorney for the Office of the State Attorney, Twelfth Judicial Circuit of Florida. That role combined with her previous private practice has provided the foundation for her wide range of knowledge in various litigation areas and her extensive trial experience.
Lindsey has prepared for and conducted many trials, taken hundreds of depositions, prepared hundreds of motions, thoroughly prepared witnesses, and managed highly complex cases with mountains of evidence. Clients find Lindsey to be an aggressive advocate and business partner to assist in all her clients’ concerns.
A member of the Florida Bar’s Eminent Domain Committee, Lindsey is well known for her eminent domain experience. She finds the complexities and challenges of eminent domain law especially rewarding and knows her experience representing landowners makes her especially valuable representing government entities as well in these proceedings.
Lindsey is also a certified title agent and has represented property owners in real estate closings, land use disputes, disputes over titles and boundaries, permitting matters, and construction disputes.
Lindsey earned her J.D. from Stetson University College of Law, where she was a research assistant to Professor Lance Long in Legal Research and Writing, and she was a teaching assistant to Professor Michael Finch in Civil Procedure, aiding first-year law students in understanding the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. She was active in the Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honors Society and Stetson College of Law Student Ambassadors. She was a legal extern for Duke Energy Corporation and interned at the U.S. Attorneys' Offices in DC. While in law school, Lindsey co-authored an amicus brief for a Florida Supreme Court case.
Through her previous clerkships, Lindsey gained experience in environmental, administrative, and land use litigation and policy development. She also researched and drafted a presentation that was featured at the United Nations’ 66th session of the Commission on the Status of Women.
Lindsey holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Psychology from Florida State University, and she was active in the Women in Pre-Law Society.
