“At the heart of economic development are mergers, acquisitions, company reorganizations, and expansion. Whether it’s advising a small family-owned company on the sale of its business, or helping a large corporation expand through a complex acquisition, I take pride in walking businesses of all types and sizes through complex corporate legal issues and working with them to achieve tax-advantageous results.”

Pearson Lewallen assists Adams and Reese’s Middle Market Mergers & Acquisitions Practice, which advises businesses on a full range of corporate legal matters, including mergers and acquisitions, entity formation, governance, corporate divisions, recapitalizations and other restructurings, private securities, tax, and other commercial transaction issues.

Prior to joining Adams and Reese as an associate, Pearson participated in the firm’s summer associate program where he assisted in preparing closing documents and diligence materials for several multimillion-dollar asset sales and stock acquisitions. Pearson also has clerk experience in labor and employment defense matters including OSHA compliance, employee benefits, and workplace discrimination suits.

Pearson formerly interned for Sonoco Products Company, gaining experience in human resources, legal, and corporate development departments by consulting with company executives on changes to South Carolina state marijuana legislation, anti-trust regulation for merger and acquisition projects, and other operational matters.
