Overview

Molly Hatch represents clients of all sizes in resolving disputes via trial or other means. Her clients include general and sub-contractors, design and engineering professionals, construction product manufacturers and suppliers, public and energy sector entities, and real estate stakeholders.

The disputes Molly helps to resolve include complex and multi-party commercial and residential construction disputes regarding breach of contract, construction and design defects, product failures, negligence, warranty claims, building products defects, performance bond issues, allegations of fraud, environmental claims, and more.

Molly takes the time to understand each client’s unique concerns and objectives. Whether through skilled negotiation, mediation, arbitration or trial, her objective is to diligently craft effective legal strategies to try to achieve the best possible outcome for each client. Her clients appreciate not only her abilities as a courtroom litigator, but also frequently seek Molly’s guidance during negotiations to resolve issues that might otherwise result in litigation.

Molly prides herself on the ability to understand all sides of an issue — partly from her experience as a debater, mock trial and moot court participant — and to communicate even the most complex or esoteric elements of law and the legal process clearly to clients, i.e., making the law accessible. Her prior work with another law firm and two clerkships gave Molly extensive experience in managing litigation matters across multiple practice areas and industries, and exposure to responsibilities such as large-scale discovery, motions, demand letters, pleadings, and trial strategy.
Molly’s law school experience at the University of Houston Law Center (J.D., 2023) prepared her well for a career in construction law and litigation. She participated in the school’s interscholastic moot and mock trial teams and competed as a brief writer and oral advocate in several national competitions. She won several awards throughout law school, including as top-ranked oral advocate at the Judge John R. Brown Admiralty Moot Court Competition, and champion of the John Black Moot Court Competition. She also served as Alumni & Events Editor and on the Executive Board of the Houston Journal of International Law.

In the community, Molly volunteers for both Mandell Park and Main Street Ministries.
