Robin Blocksom

Robin Blocksom is a dynamic, results-driven attorney who brings a practical, hands-on approach to helping clients navigate disputes with confidence. Robin represents insurers and corporate clients in civil litigation matters, drawing on experience managing cases from initial investigation through resolution. She has drafted pleadings, conducted discovery, taken and defended depositions, and advocated for clients in court, which has given her a working understanding of how litigation strategy develops at every stage of a dispute.

Prior to earning her J.D., Robin gained experience in intellectual property, business, and technology. She oversaw more than 100 intellectual property portfolios supporting commercialization efforts for academic institutions, national laboratories, and research hospitals, which allows her to approach litigation not only as an advocate, but also as a business-minded counselor who understands that clients need practical guidance, efficient case management, and clear communication.

Clients value Robin’s ability to combine careful legal analysis with a disciplined, solutions-oriented mindset. Her litigation experience is strengthened by a technical, engineering background, which gives her a strong foundation for understanding complex facts, specialized industries, and disputes involving technical or business-driven issues. She is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Alabama, and she is an active member of the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association, the Alabama State Bar, and the Birmingham Bar Association.

Robin earned her J.D. from Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, where she served as Vice President of the Intellectual Property Society and Alumni Relations Chair of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. She also competed on the National Negotiation Team, participated in the USPTO Patent Application Drafting Competition, and was active in the Student Bar Association, Women in Law, and the Transactional Law Practice Organization. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Political Science from the University of Alabama, where she was a member of Omega Chi Epsilon, the national chemical engineering honor society.
