Overview

Zachary “Zach” McKinley is a member of the Adams & Reese Litigation Practice Group and an Associate in the Jacksonville office. Zach is a civil litigator defending business clients in a wide variety of complex business disputes, with a focus on contractual and financial matters, especially in the construction industry.

Having obtained an M.B.A. and formerly serving as a Senior Investor Service Specialist for an investment company, Zach brings an ability to untangle and communicate solutions within complex financial relationships. This provides an important dimension to his client advocacy within his legal practice.

As a summer associate during law school, Zach gained valuable experience researching and writing memoranda on a variety of topics, including bankruptcy law, contract law, choice of law issues, and more. His document drafting experience included requests for production, notices of claims, and proposals for settlement.

Prior to attending law school, during and following his M.B.A. studies, Zach worked for an investment house, which entailed reviewing client portfolios, determining potential investment strategies, assisting clients’ financial decision-making, and mentoring employees as team lead.

While pursuing his legal studies, Zach served two important roles on the law school’s Florida Entertainment and Sports Law Review: Director of Research and Director of Administration. His cum laude bachelor’s degree in financing and accounting at The University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) inspired further study for his M.B.A. at the University of Denver.
