Adams and Reese Partner Kellen Mathews has been elected to the Executive Committee of the Committee of 100 for Economic Development, Inc., also known as C100.

C100 serves as Louisiana’s business roundtable and is a private, nonprofit whose membership includes the top CEOs and business executives of leading private and public companies in Louisiana, and university presidents of Louisiana’s institutions of higher learning.

The organization, dedicated to the state’s long-term economic growth, was created in 1992 to provide leadership and resources to bring about positive change in government, education, and the economy to improve the quality of life for Louisiana residents.

At Adams and Reese, Mathews has a diverse practice, where he focuses on litigation, administrative and regulatory matters, and government contracting. His litigation experience spans numerous areas of law including commercial litigation, construction, labor and employment, products liability, and personal injury. 

Calling on skills honed in his litigation practice as well as his knowledge of administrative procedure, Mathews also represents clients in regulatory actions, having tried multiple administrative matters before Louisiana’s Division of Administrative Law.

Mathews helps clients navigate highly nuanced government procurement and public bid processes. He assists clients in industries ranging from health care to construction and disaster remediation in applying for, challenging, and defending contract awards. Additionally, he represents vendors in negotiating and obtaining mutually acceptable resolutions of contractual disputes with government agencies.

Mathews formerly served as the Partner in Charge of the Adams and Reese Baton Rouge office.

Mathews has been selected by peers as the Best Lawyers "Lawyer of the Year" in Baton Rouge in Administrative/Regulatory Law. He is also ranked in the national publication in the practice areas of Government Relations and Commercial Litigation. He is a former recipient of "Forty Under 40" by Baton Rouge Business Report.
