Gif Thornton Featured in Law.com and Law360 on Strategic Growth at Adams & Reese

Adams & Reese Managing Partner Gif Thornton was quoted in Law.com and Law360 discussing the firm’s strategic expansion, including the addition of 11 corporate and real estate attorneys from McGlinchey Stafford.

Thornton explained that initial merger talks between the two New Orleans-founded firms began in December but ultimately led to a lateral group hire.

“We are delighted that we have been able to recruit most of the corporate and real estate practice from the McGlinchey law firm—11 lawyers, two paralegals, and some support staff. [It’s] a robust group of lawyers who are leaders in their field,” Thornton told Law.com.

In Law360, Thornton emphasized the significance of this move for Adams & Reese’s strategic plan.

“We’re delighted to successfully land McGlinchey’s corporate and real estate practices. They will bring their client roster and reputation for excellence to Adams and Reese.”

Led by Baton Rouge partners Rudy Aguilar and J.P. Perrault, the group will join Adams & Reese on January 16, strengthening the firm’s corporate services and real estate capabilities across Louisiana and beyond. Thornton noted that the addition will nearly double the size of the Baton Rouge office and aligns with the firm’s focus on growth in corporate and M&A practices.
