Hevron Appointed to Board of The Historic BK House in New Orleans

Adams & Reese Partner Marshall Hevron has been appointed as a board member of The Historic BK House & Gardens. Located in New Orleans and built in 1826, The Historic BK House & Gardens is a National Historic Landmark.
A raised center hall villa and residence that includes both Creole and American features, the house, parterre garden, and courtyard have been featured in several films and television shows and are favorites for guided tours, weddings, and special events. BK House’s history includes the stories of those who both lived and labored there for nearly 200 years, offering a unique educational experience, which furthers the understanding of New Orleans’ history.
At Adams & Reese, Hevron has a diverse litigation practice in which he represents clients in property law, including expropriation and eminent domain cases for major utility and energy companies. He also practices in various areas of real estate law and assists charter schools in negotiating charter agreements with state and local authorizers. He advises them on issues before the Louisiana Board of Ethics, and advocates for them in litigation with labor unions and the National Labor Relations Board. He also helps charter schools with other legal issues such as land acquisition, charter expansion, and compliance with federal regulations.
In the community, Hevron formerly served as the President of the Board of the Preservation Resource Center of New Orleans. He is a Trustee of the New Orleans Museum of Art, and he’s also a member of the Young Benefactors Committee at the National World War II Museum, New Orleans Tricentennial Commission, and New Orleans Board of City Trusts.
Hevron served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve from 1998-2004. He earned his B.A. at St. John’s College and his J.D. from Tulane University Law School.
