Seasoned Litigation Attorney Joins Adams & Reese Mobile Team

Adams & Reese announces the addition of seasoned litigation attorney Doug McCoy as Counsel in its Mobile office. McCoy brings more than four decades of commercial litigation experience representing businesses and individuals in high-stakes disputes across a broad range of industries.
McCoy's practice focuses on a variety of legal areas including intellectual property and non-compete disputes, financing and leasing transactions, contract disputes, cybersecurity breach claims, real estate matters, securities litigation, corporate control disputes, class action disputes, estate litigation, commercial fraud and tort claims, product liability, and construction-related litigation. He has extensive trial experience in both federal and state courts throughout Alabama, Mississippi, and New York. He is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the Alabama Supreme Court, the Second, Fifth, and Eleventh Circuit Courts of Appeals, and the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Alabama.
McCoy earned his J.D. from Duke University School of Law and his B.S. in Accounting, magna cum laude, from the University of Tennessee. His accounting background sharpens his ability to untangle complex factual scenarios and dense technical information, providing clients with practical legal guidance grounded in a genuine understanding of their business operations.

He is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and a past leader within the ABA Section of Litigation, having co-chaired its Business Torts, Trial Practice, and Consumer and Civil Rights Litigation Committees.
