My law practice provides me with the opportunity to help and serve clients with the content they create. My understanding of and experience in entertainment law allows me to advocate for clients with care, creativity, and a focus on the client’s goals.

Kendall Deranek is an attorney in the Adams and Reese Entertainment and New Media practice, representing artists, songwriters, producers, independent music publishers, and independent record labels. Kendall has experience in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing various entertainment agreements, including producer, guest artist, recording, publishing, and licensing agreements. Her entertainment experience extends into film and television, including how those areas intersect with music. Her intellectual property experience also spans to assisting clients in their copyright applications.

Kendall earned her J.D. from Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law where she achieved certificates in entertainment, media, and sports law; law and entrepreneurship, intellectual property, and technology. She received recognition for outstanding legal analysis in copyright law, entertainment law, IP law, and legal research and writing. Kendall was president of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society and a Palmer Center Fellow. While earning her B.B.A. in Music Business from Belmont University, Kendall was a music legal intern for Paramount Pictures, where she gained experience in working on synchronization licenses.
