Ryan J. Templet

Ryan Templet is a Government Relations Advisor in the New Orleans office of Adams & Reese, where he counsels clients on state and federal government relations matters across Louisiana. A Louisiana native with more than 15 years of experience working inside and around the State Capitol, Ryan brings a rare combination of legislative staff experience, senior-level legislative advocacy, policy development, and coalition building. He is deeply invested in advancing policies that promote economic growth, stability, and opportunity for both Louisiana businesses and communities.

Ryan's government relations practice is grounded in years of firsthand experience in Louisiana's legislative process. He spent five years as professional legislative staffer in the Louisiana Senate, including service under former Senator David Heitmeier and former Senate President John Alario, where he gained deep institutional knowledge of legislative leadership, budget negotiations, committee processes, and the political dynamics that drive lawmaking. That foundation informs everything he does as an advocate and policy strategist today.

Following his tenure in the Senate, Ryan spent over a decade representing national, regional, and Louisiana-based clients before both the Legislative and Executive branches of state government. His work has spanned a wide range of regulated industries, and his responsibilities have included drafting legislation, structuring regulatory frameworks, advising clients on compliance and implementation, and resolving disputes between competing stakeholders.
